Brenda Jones Brenda Jones, Vice President

I believe in the power of women, and that through our determination we will, together, be able to implement positive changes for our agriculture communities. The thing I enjoy most about being a member of BCFWN is spending time with women who have a deep understanding of the dedication required to be a farm woman, and the joy which can be found in our daily lives.

Anthea Archer Anthea Archer, Director

I'm a member of BCFWN because I believe it's essential that farmers speak with one voice, so that governments - federal, provincial and municipal - recognize farmers and safe local food as essential for the ongoing health of Canadians. As a member, what I enjoy most is the supportive friendship between women who produce such diverse food products; and the opportunity to visit many parts of this wonderful province.

Loretta Cross Loretta Cross, Director

Belonging to B.C. Farm Women’s Network has been amazing, the knowledge I have learned about other commodities is fantastic. Our seminars are held all over the province, providing opportunity to see many wonderful places with the farm tour day always a highlight. The friendships I have made are very dear to me. We have a wonderful group of women, dedicated to agriculture and to each other.

Helen Horn Helen Horn, Director and honourary life-time member

I have a great appreciation for our members who put on seminars, allowing us to share, learn, and get to know each other. There are so few farm-oriented newspapers with any information to educate us and make us aware of good farm practices.

Elizabeth Mann Elizabeth Mann, Director

In 1987, I sat on the Standing Committee to confirm the need for, and anticipated directions for the network, and as a longtime Director of the network, I strongly support the ongoing, voluntary efforts of the members to keep and defend our BC farmers' production of our healthy food.

Oliver. 250-498-4268(P/F) evmann@vip.net

Sherry Stewart Sherry Stewart, Director

This is a powerful group of women from all over the province, gathered under the banner of the B.C. Farm Women's Network. Many from smaller local groupings such as the Interlakes Cattlebelles are also members of BCFWN, contributing their good ideas and support. When we bring agricultural issues to the government's attention, the BCFWN has a much more powerful voice than if we were acting as individuals.

Roma Tingle Roma Tingle, Director

I am a member of BCFWN because of the wonderful opportunity to meet, get to know and work with many amazing women in all facets of agriculture. I have made great friends and learned to appreciate more than ever the different perspectives, challenges, success and struggles faced by these women.
