Dear Friend;

The Board of Directors of B.C. Farm Women's Network on behalf of our membership, would like to issue you a personal invitation to add your voice to ours.

Agriculture is a vital & viable profession in British Columbia. But it needs help!! Too many times agricultural issues are not given the promotion they need to be seriously considered by government at various levels. Too often the general public has no conception of what agricultural people deal with on a daily basis. Some simply don't know how or where their food actually comes from.

We need your strength, your expertise and your voice in making B.C. Farm Women's Network a stronger voice in promoting sound ideas for agriculture in British Columbia. We need more people to be involved.

Help us build a level playing field with the other provinces, & within our own province, for those who earn part or all of their living in agricultural endeavors. How? By becoming a voting member of B.C. Farm Women's Network, and by "networking" with each of the other members. When you are networking with others and sharing ideas amongst us you are helping agriculture to survive, be it by sharing a cost cutting method you have tried, or an innovative way of growing vegetables in colder parts of the province. When you become a member of B.C. Farm Women's Network you are helping to show the agriculture minister and the B.C Government as a whole that you care about what's happening to agriculture in B.C. and want to be a part of it. Help us lobby the government regarding issues that affect farmers both men and women, be it weed control, child care, quota restrictions, or marketing in a global economy.

Come, join with us.

For your annual membership fee of $20 you will receive an informative newsletter from BCFWN quarterly. You will have access to the Board of Directors current minutes of meetings through the newsletter or upon request, and any submissions you wish to make to the Board or for the newsletter are welcomed. We have 12 Directors on our Board from throughout the province giving most if not all areas of the province representation.

Once per year the Annual General Meeting & Seminar is held in a different part of the province in order that all members should have equal access to the meeting.

We look forward to hearing from you in the near future. Please address your reply to Lorraine Jerema BCFWN Secretary C16 Crossroads RR1 Lone Butte, BC V0K 1X0

Sincerely,

BC Farm Women's Network
